Privacy Policy
What Spicrawl collects and why, in plain words.
Last updated
This policy covers spicrawl.com, the Spicrawl dashboard, the API and the MCP server.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you give it, your name. Passwords are stored only as hashes. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google name and email address.
- Workspace details: workspace names, members, roles and invitations.
- Optional answers: your role, company and intended use, if you choose to give them when you start.
- Sign-in information: when you sign up or sign in, we record the time, how you signed in, and your IP address and browser details.
- Request information: the requests you make, including the URLs you ask us to fetch, the result status, timing, credits used and which API key was used. You can see these in your dashboard logs.
- Fetched pages: cached pages are kept for up to 48 hours, and batch job results expire after 72 hours (3 days).
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
We do not collect payment card details. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
How we use it
To run and secure the service, show you your usage, answer your questions and improve Spicrawl. We do not sell your personal data.
Connected apps
When you connect an app such as ChatGPT to Spicrawl through OAuth, we record the app’s name, the workspace you picked, the permissions you granted (for example scrape and batch) and the API key it creates. Spicrawl receives only the tool requests the app sends, such as URLs and options. We do not receive your chat conversation. You can disconnect an app at any time under Settings → Connected apps.
Service providers
We use providers to run Spicrawl, such as hosting and content delivery, Google for sign-in if you choose it, and a messaging service that delivers contact-form messages to our team.
How long we keep it
Request logs are kept for a limited period, shown in your dashboard. Cached pages are kept for up to 48 hours and batch results for 72 hours (3 days). Other data is kept while it is needed to run your account.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and small preferences saved in your browser, such as the sidebar state and light or dark theme. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Your choices
To ask about your data, or to have it corrected or deleted, email support@spicrawl.com. You can revoke API keys and remove team members in the dashboard.
Security
Passwords are stored as hashes, and sensitive secrets are encrypted when stored.
